I am new to this call making game and a friend of mine gave me a beautiful slab of curly redwood. I have turned a few small items, keychains, etc from some of it and the woods is "brittle". It is very dry, was not sealed in anyway while in storage. Is there anything I can do to it to make it more user friendly. I want to make a few calls from it but I don't want them to break apart later. Thanks for any and all help.
