Thanks Rookiecalls. I am using the Shellcreek guts. Its been a big learning curve with the short reed stuff. I always used an old Olt 800 goose call. But I have a friend who does some compition and he is helping me learn to blow and tune these.
I sure hope things work out for you Rookie you make one beautiful call. It would be a same to see you stop.
I will get you a material list when we are complete Dunkler.

Last few days progress on the boat build.

Deck ribs in place and coaming in place.

 Fitting the deck plywood.

Her deck plywood is fitted. Will be removing plywood and painting. I hope to get the glass on her by next week.

Very nice work on the boat.  I can't help but want to do that someday.  I have no place to really use a layout boat like that, but maybe a small fishing boat built with the same construction technique would be fun too.

I used to fly fish in Belize in the late 80's and watch the guides building their next boat in their backyards on their days off.  Beautiful Honduran mahogany and a minimum of tools, but the boats could handle some incredible pounding and last for years in the midst of the heat and humidity.

Congratulations.

Pete
