Sapele
« on: July 10, 2010, 05:57:38 AM »
Folks, I came across a piece of lumber while I was in Colombia.  I believe it to be SAPELE(?).  It is a very dense board and has some good looking prospect for it.  It is approx. 6' long, 6" wide, and a full 4/4 or 1" thick.  It would be excellent for slate calls.  I do not necessarily need all of it. Looking to do some trading for it.  Anyone interested and has some trade wood, please PM me and we can work something out.

I'll try to post some pictures soon.  I still have the board on my ship.

Thanks,

Mutt

Ought to be just fine.  I don't know what you'll be able to get out of a 1" thick board though.

I still have the entire board if anyone is interested?  I think it would be best suited for turkey "pot" calls.
