 :eek:  SHARP!  What are your suggestions for turning and finishing that stuff?  I've heard it is a pain.

Turns pretty well...hard stuff though. Takes the mother load of ca to get it smooth. :yes:

Nice looking call David.   :yes:   I tried black palm on a bottle stopper recently and found that it has a tendency to tear out if you get too aggressive.  Gotta take tiny bites.  I used a lot of CA as a grain filler and then dipped it...Came out glass-smooth.  I need to try making a call from it now.

Looks good, a great job with a wood that is a "little" difficult to work with.

I prefer to use the palm woods as fire starters :eek:, I found that it burns real good. :bigup:

Nice looking call. I just made my first duck call out of black palm and it didnt seem so bad. You did a great job on this one.
