Does everyone here avoid getting finish on their striker tip surface? Might be a odd question, but I'm curious.

If you are dipping them then its a no brainer. If you are spraying them then tape the ends up.

Yep i always avoid getting finish on the tips, i usually stop finishing about half an inch before the tip but its up to you.

I used to tape them. Now, I drop them in their drilled hole for spraying, and that keeps the finish off of the tips.
